Bert the Turtle is the star character from the nuclear prepareness film Duck and Cover. He died on March 20, 2013.
Life[]
Early Life[]
Bert the Turtle was born on June 27, 1928. Not much is known about him before the film Duck and Cover.
Duck and Cover[]
Bert, at the age of 23, starred in the film Duck and Cover as the spokescharacter and main star of the film. In the film, he cheated death from communist monkeys and nuclear explosions by hiding in his shell.
After Duck and Cover[]
He moved to New York City, got married, and had a kid, and retired. He lived until age 84, where he died from natural causes. Ben Minnotte wanted to interview him, but Bert died a week before Oddity Archive's twenty-second episode "Duck and Cover".
